It’s been a crazy long day, but it is still Tuesday, so I’m sneaking in my Top 5 Tuesday before the end of the day! Today’s Top 5 Tuesday (hosted by the wonderful Shanah @ Bionic Bookworm) is all about authors who were new to us this year! I just started my blog this year, so there have definitely been quite a few new to me authors!
So without any further ado, my top 5 new to me authors of 2017!
#1- Kendare Blake
Three Dark Crowns was one of the first reviews I ever wrote for this blog! I haven’t had a chance to read One Dark Throne yet, but Kendare Blake was definitely one of authors I enjoyed this year
#2- Christina Henry
It only took me a few days to listen to Lost Boy by Christina Henry. I enjoyed it, but based on what I’ve seen of her other books, I would like them even more! So, she’s going on my TBR list for 2018, too!
#3- Renee Ahdieh
My friend Tricia recommended The Wrath and the Dawn to me earlier this year, and I loved this duology! It’s a great retelling of that I would definitely recommend; I’m definitely glad that Tricia introduced me to Renee Ahdieh!
#4- Katherine Arden
I really haven’t fangirled about this book enough. I absolutely loved The Bear and the Nightingale! Katherine Arden is an incredible author! This one is probably cheating a little, since Arden is a new author altogether, but she’s still new to me, too! I’ve read both books in her series so far, and I am a little bit in love!
#5- Leigh Bardugo
If it isn’t obvious, yet, I adored the Six of Crows duology! Definitely one of my favorite reads of 2017! I am so so so glad I stumbled into Ketterdam; Leigh Bardugo is without a doubt my #1 favorite new to me author this year!
Thanks for reading, and don’t forget to check out Shanah’s Top 5 Tuesday post!
